PriyoShop - Pioneering Change in Bangladesh's Retail Landscape
PriyoShop is redefining the future of micro-retailing in Bangladesh through strategic partnerships and technological advancements. Here’s a glimpse into their journey:
Revolutionizing Credit Access
PriyoShop has bridged the $3.5 billion credit gap that has long hindered over five million micro-retailers from accessing formal banking services. In 2024-2025, they secured three pivotal financial partnerships. These include a co-branded CMSME credit card with LankaBangla Finance and Mastercard, an embedded lending initiative via BRAC Bank's Shafollo platform, and the creation of Bangladesh's first AI-powered credit scoring system in collaboration with Community Bank and InsightGenie. MSMEs using PriyoShop are reportedly three times more likely to secure formal bank loans compared to their non-digitized counterparts, according to PriyoShop's data.
Operational Excellence and Regional Recognition
Achieving operational profitability in May 2025, PriyoShop has expanded its reach to over 150,000 active retailers across 103 thanas. This accomplishment underscores their commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth. Further cementing their reputation, PriyoShop was crowned Champion at the prestigious South Asia ICT Award 2025. Dipty Mandal, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, said the win demonstrates that solutions built for local challenges can achieve regional impact.
Strategic Expansion and Corporate Collaboration
At the start of the year, PriyoShop continued its expansion by opening six new hubs across Netrokona. This strategic growth aims to support more small businesses and foster economic development in this region. PriyoShop also announced their partnership with Coca-Cola CCI Bangladesh, bringing their distribution and seamless operations to one of the world's most iconic brands.
