• Innovative Branding and Community Building: Couplet Coffee’s success story began long before its physical location opened in January. Founder Gefen Skolnick leveraged social media to build a loyal following through storytelling, limited-edition product drops, and engaging community events. By creating an approachable and inclusive brand, Skolnick tapped into the Gen Z market, offering more than just coffee but a sense of belonging and creativity.
  
  
• Validation Before Launching: Before selling actual coffee, Couplet made waves with its unique merchandise, like the viral drinking glass adorned with whimsical designs. Skolnick’s strategic collaborations, such as the environmentally conscious vanilla latte candles and the cow-printed Mooka Pot, further amplified the brand’s reach. It wasn’t until 2022 that Couplet sold actual coffee on its website. Couplet's offerings now include light single-origin Peruvian beans, rich and sweet espresso blend of Brazilian, Nicaraguan and Peruvian coffee and a matcha from the coastal city of Ise in Japan.
